Are you hiring or looking to connect further with BIE students?

The Bachelor of International Economics (BIE) program challenges its students with an accelerated learning environment, and exceptional peers and professors. The global perspective gained through the tailored curriculum and the internationally diverse cohort is essential in the modern workforce. With core courses in economics, commerce, and math from the Vancouver School of Economics and the Sauder School of Business, BIE students are trained in:

  • Accounting and investment theory
  • Advanced data analysis and quantitative methods for economics
  • Business, government, and non-profit policy analysis
  • Cost-benefit analysis
  • Empirical research methodologies
  • International trade
  • Processes and issues in economic development
  • Theory and practice in finance

Please note that while BIE students can apply for both Arts Co-op, and UBC Sauder Co-op after completing a successful internship with Arts Co-op, the VSE Career Centre also facilitates work integrated learning opportunities. If you would like to connect with Arts Co-op or UBC Sauder Co-op, email us at VSE.careers@ubc.ca and we can facilitate an introduction for you.
